What did you like most about this instructor and course?

1. The course really got me thinking about writing in ways beyond typical text on a screen.
2. The versatility in the projects. It opened up my eyes to a new way of doing things.
3. Professor is communicative with students.
4. Professor is a good guy, moderately fair.

6. The projects--they were fun and different than any I have had before.

14. Derek himself. What a cool guy and caring teacher. This man cares deeply about his students.
15. Derek does a nice job explaining himself and making the time to make sure students are succeeding.
16. Easily accessible; assignments are well explained and questions answered quickly, all information was also available online.

18. Dr. Mueller was extremely clear and very consistent in everything. I never felt unsure or confused about anything.

What did you dislike most about this instructor and course?

2. Nothing really, except the classroom we used which is out of his control.
3. Room assignment & design would be considered.
4. Boring readings. Un-stimulating assignments. All we did was remake others works, creativity not allowed. I learned nothing.
5. The work load was consistent throughout the semester but the last project had an even percentage of the grade.

7. It was somewhat inflexible in regards to circumstances like assignment confusion for a number of people or absence due to illness.
8. Too much reading about similar things. NO group work.

10. The professor is really bad at guidelines for assignments. I never knowwhat to do until he shows us examples of previous projects.
11. Some of the projects (i.e., p2) could be more tech-oriented.

14. The requirements for the class. Derek came up with useful, fun assignments, but the entire idea of the course doesn't make sense. Students already know technology.
15. I think for a class that has 'technology' in the title there wasn't enough technology.

18. Nothing really. The topic (technology) is not very interesting to me, but everything was presented in a way that was enjoyable.

What constructive suggestions do you have for this instructor or course?

18. As a future educator I am always keeping an eye on instructors and their courses to see what I learned from them. This instructor honestly gave me so many positive things to take away! The projects were great; very engaging and you had to be involved with the material. Instructor was always very helpful! Thank you!
